3. Our Response

After receiving a sufficiently detailed notification, LegalTerms.net may:

• review the identified material;
• request additional information;
• remove or disable access to material where appropriate;
• notify the person responsible for the affected material, where applicable; or
• take other action considered appropriate under the circumstances.

Submitting a notification does not guarantee removal. LegalTerms.net may consider whether the material is authorized, licensed, in the public domain, subject to fair use, or otherwise permitted by law.

4. Counter-Notification

If material associated with you was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe that the action resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification containing:

2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court as provided by applicable law and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notification or that person’s agent.

5. Restoration of Material

After receiving a valid counter-notification, LegalTerms.net may forward it to the person who submitted the original complaint.

Where applicable, removed material may be restored unless the original complainant provides notice that legal action has been filed seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

6. Misrepresentations

Submitting knowingly false or materially misleading information in a copyright notification or counter-notification may result in legal consequences.

Do not submit a DMCA notification or counter-notification unless you have a good-faith basis for doing so.

7. Repeat Infringement

Where applicable, LegalTerms.net may restrict access by parties who repeatedly submit infringing material or otherwise engage in repeated copyright infringement.
